Travellers ask AI to plan their trip
Travellers ask AI for a weekend plan, a hotel near the beach or a cheap flight. Google is building trip planning into AI Mode, its AI search.
But several of these features only work in the United States for now. So first: what can travellers in Europe use today?

Do many of your guests come from the US? Then the US-only features already matter for you.
Get your travel site ready
AI tools can only use what they can read. Make the facts travellers ask about easy to find.
Hotels and holiday rentals
- Keep your Google Business Profile complete: photos, facilities, contact details and opening times. Google says Business Profile can help you show up in AI responses.
- Holiday rentals: Google still supports vacation rental structured data. Check yours with our schema validator.
- Write practical facts as plain text: distance to the beach or station, check-in times, accessibility and pets.
Tour operators and travel sites
- Show prices and availability on the page, with the date they were last updated.
- Write guides from real experience: when you went, what you saw and what it cost.
- Keep your details the same on every booking platform where you are listed.
What GEO-Score checks on a travel page
We cannot see which hotels AI Mode recommends. We check how readable and trustworthy your own page is.
- Schema validator
Checks your JSON-LD for errors and shows which Google rich results it can still earn.
- Page analysis
Scores one page on 22 metrics, including author and credential signals (E-E-A-T), sources and citations, update dates and AI crawler access.
- AI prompt generator
Ready-made prompts to paste into ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini, to see whether they mention you.
What this guide cannot promise
Several AI booking features are not live in Europe yet. Their effect on European travel sites is still unknown.
No tool can make AI recommend your hotel. Clear, current facts on your own pages are what you control.
