Why Compare URLs?
Comparing URLs is one of the most powerful features in GEO-Score. It lets you put your content side by side with competitor pages to see exactly where you are winning and where they are beating you. This direct comparison reveals opportunities you might otherwise miss.
You can also use comparison to test different versions of your own content. See which approach works better for GEO optimization. Compare old and new versions to measure improvement. Or check how different pages on your site perform against each other.
Understanding the Comparison View
The comparison view presents a lot of information in an organized way. Here's how to read and interpret what you see.
Overall Scores
At the top of each column, you see the overall GEO-Score for that URL. This gives you a quick sense of which URL is performing best overall. However, the real insights come from looking at individual factors below.
A URL might have a lower overall score but excel in specific areas you care about. That's why drilling into the details is so important for competitive analysis.
Factor-by-Factor Comparison
Each row shows a different GEO factor. The factors are grouped into categories like
Readability
,
Content Structure
, and
AI Optimization
.
Look for rows where competitors score significantly higher than you. These are your biggest opportunities for improvement. Also notice where you are ahead. These are your competitive advantages worth maintaining.
Difference Indicators
GEO-Score highlights the differences between URLs with visual indicators. A green up arrow shows where one URL beats another. A red down arrow shows where it falls behind. The size of the arrow indicates how big the gap is.
Focus your attention on the largest gaps. These represent the biggest opportunities or threats. Small differences of a few points matter less than major gaps of 20-30 points or more.
